Esa música fue un propósito y cuidó la herencia con el rechazo a todo lo que la pervirtiera".
Declaró su enemistad a las discográficas, se resistió a los homenajes, detestó Cosquín y las farsas festivaleras, eligió los riesgos de revolucionar lo dado y creó el Dúo Salteño para encarnar esos duendes.
